Festival of the Grape

The next Festival of the Grape is on Sunday, October 5th, 2014

Oliver, British Columbia's Festival of the Grape is an annual event launched in 1997 by the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce. The inaugural event was a huge success, and the festival continues to thrive and grow each year. A record number of people, wineries and vendors are expected this year.

The main focus of the festival is, of course, wine. More than 50 wineries will be in attendance, all eager to please your palate with varietals from their cellars. However, the festival is much more than just wine. The festival will have many different food vendors, merchandise vendors from local stores and boutiques, an art show and sale, live entertainment, games, a grape stomp and everyone's favorite, Jerseyland Organics' cheeses.

Come join us between noon and 5:00pm and bring the kids too. There is something for everyone.

Entertainment

In years past, the Festival of the Grape was very proud to present The Nylons and The Powder Blues, ABBA-tribute band, ABBA Cadabra and Dehli 2 Dublin. Entertainment for 2014 is The Paperboys.

Vendors

The festival has adopted a trade show aspect. There are dozens of vendors offering items such as handcrafted clothing, wine and kitchen accessories, gourmet food items, the best cheeses this side of Europe and much more. For more information on becoming a vender, please click here.

For the kids

There will be a rock-climbing wall, a bouncy castle, an obstacle course, face painting and much more!

Volunteering

Volunteering is a popular way take in the festivities for free. Volunteering shifts last for a couple hours. Before and after your shift, you are free to participate in the festivities. For more information on becoming a volunteer, please click here.
